About this Event

The Lucharian Duo is a new exciting Latin Indo Folk Duo, with superb Venezuelan guitarist and hurdy gurdy player, Lucho Brunicardi and verstile sax, flute and piano player, Yosi Marshall. We play an eclectic mix of Latin American : Brazilian Bossa Nova, Choros, from Rio de Janeiro, Indian-inspired fusion, Gypsy Jazz and blues, all in one large melting pot. It often promises to be lively and stimulating evenings. Lucho and Yosi have performed at the Royal Oak, The Snowdrop Inn and the Unity Centre, in Lewes and done a handful of gigs at Cafe Yukari In Kew, London.

Lucho Brunicardi is a Venezuelan UK-based multi-instrumentalist musician, engineer, and educator.Classically trained in the Emil Friedman Conservatory, he has immersed himself in developing abilities with several stringed and wind instruments such as guitar- classical, folk, electric; Hurdy Gurdy, Didgeridoo; Native Flutes from around the world.He has developed his style within various musical genres such as Latin American, Mediterranean, Folk, Tribal, Classical, Blues, Rock, Metal, and far more, as he loves the connexion between styles and the beauty of exploring various ways to express feelings through sound.L ucho has performed in China, Argentina, Venezuela,Spain, Italy and France.

Yosi Marshall is a classically-trained pianist and jazz saxophonist, flautist and clarinettist. He plays regularly at Cafe Yukari amongst other things. He runs the 6 piece jazz-fusion band, Momentum and play regularly at the Bulls Head in Barnes and the Pizza Express Pheasantry. Momentum have also recorded 3 albums including What's the Vibe. Yosi is also a silent film accompanist and has played for the Ealing Classic Cinema, The OSO in Barnes and lots of educational establishments. www.yosimarshallmusic.com.Lucho recently accompanied me to the 1927 silent film , the Temptress, starring Greta Garbo, at the All Saints Centre, Lewes to a packed audience.
