About this Event

Join us for an afternoon of mushroom art! This event is part of Morgaine Lee's master's (anthropology) research on the worlds of mushrooms and art. It is a gathering and celebration of the many art pieces created as part of this research which culminated in the film do i know you, mushroom? which will screen at the event. In addition to the film, there will be poetry readings, talks, art installation, and mush more!

When and Where:

November 30th, 2024 - Doors at 12:30pm, show at 1pm

Haiku films by Echo Park Film Centre North

Experimental short documentary by Morgaine Lee featuring many of the artists present.

Visual art by over 15 different artists.

Venue Accessibility:

Djavad Mowafaghian World Art Centre is located on the 2nd floor of the SFU Woodwards building and is accessible by both stairs and elevators.

The building is accessible at street level on the Hastings side or via a ramp on the Cordova Street Courtyard side. There are two ramp entry points, one is located against the building, near the entrance to the Woodward’s Westbank Atrium (which houses London Drugs and Nesters) and one is located against the building, beside the alley. Both the Hastings doors and the Cordova Courtyard doors can be operated by accessibility buttons located beside the doorways.
The building is accessible by several bus lines. Plan your trip with TransLink’s Trip Planner.
Metered street parking available and a number of parkades nearby.
Public bike racks are located near the Cordova entrance.
Public and gender-neutral washrooms are available. All public washrooms are equipped with wheelchair accessible stalls.
