DMV FASHION WEEK 2022

DMV Fashion Week was created to give designers the opportunity to showcase their new collections and shows ahead of the new season when they will become available for purchase. It also serves as the main platform that incorporates all the shows in the DMV area, we have created a solid Calendar that will allow all major shows in the DMV area to be on one platform for easy reference.

THE CAUSE

DMVFW partnered with Junior Bosses of Fashion (JBF), which is an initiative by the House of Clyopatra Foundation. JBF seeks to teach the young entrepreneur how to build Generational Wealth. Many people are born with the natural talent as a Designer, A Model, a Makeup Artist, Photographer or a Stylist, some are so lucky that they realize this from an early age but may sometimes let go of these talents due to lack of not having the resources or not knowing how to navigate through this unique industry. Some also start but are unable to continue due to the fact that they have not mastered the art of handling the business/financial aspect of that talent.

The Junior Bosses of Fashion Workshops teaches young bosses interested in the business of fashion, fashion design, photography, modeling, styling and make-up artistry how to open and run a business by educating them on the business aspect of the fashion industry and teaching them how to set up the right infrastructure of a Company that will last for generations to come. As before, the winners of each individual workshop will present their work during the DMV Fashion week™, NYFW as well as features in Sheen Magazines and other prominent Magazines.

Prior winners of Junior Bosses of Fashion Workshop Competition have gone to launch successful careers.
