About this Event
We're going to make a book together. We'll be choosing covers, papers and binding thread and sewing a DIY journal.
The cover will be one of several options of discontinued Neenah Paper Board papers or Mohawk papers. Interior papers will be up-cycled from a local printer and the spines will be laser-cut wood. You can mix and match paper colors.
You will spend three hours in this fun, hands on workshop learning to construct your own DIY journal. We will begin with envisioning how to use your journal for an intentional journaling practice and Jolinda will show real examples of how she has used handmade journals over the last 8 years. Using the Bullet Journal method, she's managed personal goals and finances in this pen and paper system.
When you arrive, you will select your journal cover, interior papers, a wooden spine and coordinating thread to bind your journal. You will leave with a completed handmade journal and lots of ideas on how to use this in your daily life.
No book making or journaling experience is needed. The entire project is broken down into easy to follow steps, and your journal cover and spine have already been prepared and set up for you.
If you have any colorful or patterned papers you'd like to use, anything 7.5" x 11" or larger can be cut down to size to bind into the book.
• IN-PERSON - $65, all materials included. 10 participants, max. Bring your own specialty papers and supplies and use all of my machines on-site. Sales end Sunday, January 12 at 11:00am.
On Sundays, there is FREE street parking on Broad and the surrounding side streets.
