About this Event
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you will learn how to hand build your vase with air dry clay! Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create your own hand built pottery piece, by coiling, pull pinching and rolling slabs- no previous skills are requiered! Each ticket includes supplies: 3 lbs. of air dry clay and tools to sculpt with. She also will go over best practices on completing your clay practice.
This workshop is held at the Camron-Stanford House, the last of the 19th-century Victorian mansions that once surrounded Lake Merritt in Oakland, California. We will start with a 20 min. tour of this historic home. Then participants will proceed to the Veranda, to enjoy beautiful views of the houses gardens while learning how to work with clay! Please be advised that this workshop will be held outdoors.

About your Instructor... Antonia Lara Sanchez is a trained industrial designer with a BFA from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, Chile. For the past six years, Antonia worked as a graphic design and photography teacher in schools throughout Providence, RI and Oakland, CA. She believes in the transformative and healing power of the arts and finds joy in sharing her knowledge with others . Antonia currently works as a full time artist, teaching crafty classes throughout the Bay Area.
