Celebrate Diwali at Gallery 16TeN/Spicez
Growing up, Diwali—the Festival of Lights—was my favorite time of year. The world around me was dazzling, filled with joy, and of course, sweets. I remember my mom making tons of sweets at least a week before Diwali, storing them in large aluminum containers. The anticipation was unbearable, and I would often sneak a few of my favorite besan ladoos, even if it got me in trouble!
One of my fondest Diwali traditions in India was preparing plates filled with different sweets and savory snacks, covering them with beautiful lacy covers, and delivering them to our neighbors on Diwali day. In return, they would refill the plate with their own homemade treats. Whether the plate came back with more desserts or just some sugar, the exchange was always filled with warmth and sweetness.
Inspired by these cherished memories, I'm thrilled to invite you to a special Diwali celebration at Gallery 16TeN/Spicez. Join us as we light up the night with music, dance, and festive cheer. This will be an evening to reconnect with traditions, share stories, and celebrate the joy that Diwali brings.
