About this Event
The Barcelona Pavilion is closely associated with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, yet its creation was shaped through collaboration. Together with architect and designer Lilly Reich, the pavilion emerged as the result of a creative partnership that continues to influence architectural discourse today. This event explores the pavilion not only as an iconic work of modern architecture, but also as a starting point for reflecting on questions of authorship, visibility, and collaboration in architecture. It further addresses the historical underrepresentation of women in the field and examines how research, education, and public engagement can contribute to a more inclusive and diverse understanding of architectural practice.
