About this Event

Join us for a fun and educational terrarium class at Volunteer Park Conservatory!

In this class, you’ll build an enclosed, self-sustaining ecosystem with a gorgeous begonia of your choice, paired with accompanying plants and decorations. We will provide knowledge on how to care for your begonia as well as answer any questions you may have about begonias and terrarium plants.

Every student will receive a glass enclosure (about 6” in diameter), necessary substrates, one begonia donated from members of the Begonia Society, two accompanying plant varieties (ferns & mosses) and a hardscape decor piece (rock or branch).

This workshop will be conducted during the Friends of the Conservatory Fall Plant Sale held behind the Volunteer Park Conservatory in and outside of the Sharon Priebe Education Wing.

Fall Plant Sale | Saturday, September 9 | 10 am - 4 pm
