Join us for a gameplay session as part of a research project by the University of Tasmania and the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies.
What’s Happening?
This interactive session invites you to play The Big Fish Game—a competitive, ocean-themed card game. While you play, you'll also be helping researchers learn more about marine conservation and ocean education.
Where and When?
10am on Sunday 30th of November at the Sustainability Learning Centre
What You'll Do:
Play The Big Fish Game in a safe, friendly environment
Complete short surveys before and after gameplay (optional)
Participate in a follow-up survey or chat with researchers (also optional)
Help improve ocean education for future generations

All responses are anonymous and confidential. You can opt out at any time.Who Can Participate?No prior ocean knowledge or experience required! This particular game session is only for participants aged 12–17. To participate, parental or guardian consent is required. You’ll find the consent form attached, and it will also be sent via email. Forms can be returned by email to Student Investigator Dekota Mark at [email protected], or brought as a physical copy to the session.
Hosted By: Researchers from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies and the School of Geography, Planning, and Spatial Sciences at the University of Tasmania.
