About this Event
Disrupting Ableism Training
Ableism lurks everywhere in our society, often unseen and sometimes tough to know how to confront and advocate to disrupt ableism when it happens. In this training, we will take a closer look at ableism. What is it? How does it impact people with disabilities and our society as a whole? How do we unknowingly feed into it? What can we do about it?
This virtual session will be interactive and engaging, giving participants time to practice disrupting ableism using real-life scenarios.
After this session participants will feel ready to make a difference!
This session will be interactive with time for questions, resource sharing, and brainstorming!
