The purpose of this event is to help communities of color gain answers to obtaining access to medical and mental health care.
About this Event

Unequal access to medical and mental health care is a major contributor to seeking care for communties of color . Other factors that contribute the the disparties of communities of color in accessing medical and mental health care help include the lack of cultural sensitivity by some medical and mental health care professionals. Communities of color may often feel marginalized, and often rely primarily on family, community, and spiritual support instead of medical or mental treatment—even when it is critically necessary.

This forum will provide information for communties of color regarding how to access these vital services will provide answers that communties of color need to seek out the medical and mental health care that is so vitally needed.
