We are offering free tree training courses as part of the Trees for Climate Action project. We are fortunate to be able to offer the courses for free to residents of our target areas thanks to the funding of this project. This course is only available for those that meet the eligibility check as part of the Trees for Climate Action project.

You must have a Glasgow postcode
You must have little to no tree knowledge.
Course description
Discovering Woodland
Trees are an integral part of the natural world and our well-being. As part of the Trees for Climate Action project, join fellow Glasgow residents on a free half-day course that will help you to connect with nature and improve your tree knowledge and skills.
Branch out with your learning on this beginners’ introduction to woodlands. You will start with some simple woodland ecology to reveal more about how these giants of the plant kingdom function and appreciate their importance within the environment. You will then head outside for practical tips to begin summer field identification of the most common species.
This course will include:
Understanding broad woodland habitat types
Practical experience identifying features in a woodland structure and looking for pests and disease
