Discover Trees!
Suggested for grades 4 - 8
- Visit the Montgomery Fairgrounds and learn about Trees at the University of Maryland Garden Discovery Day on September 21st, 2024!
- Explore what role trees play in the ecosystem and why natives are important.
- Learn the connection between trees and humans, and visit an orchard.
- Study tree anatomy, and learn to distinguish some differences between them. Then have some fun and make art with leaves.
Discover Trees! will satisfy the requirements for the Girl Scout Cadette Trees Badge and the Webelo Into The Woods Badge.
Come dressed for the weather. Some parts of the badge will take place outside, rain or shine.
This is not a drop-off program. We request 1 Chaperone for every 10 children in your group. Adults are free and do not require a ticket.
