About this Event
Every year Cotehele’s gardeners build a 60-foot garland from flowers grown on the estate. We will visit the cut flower garden and have a ‘behind the scenes’ look at growing the perfect flower for drying. We will also have a practical demonstration from Ruth, from Root and Wild, who dries her flowers to make smaller items – examples of what each of us could do with the flowers we grow at home.
The day will start and end with tea/coffee and pastries /cake in the Victorian Drawing Room at Cotehele. For lunch we suggest you either bring a picnic or buy something from The Barn – Cotehele’s on-site café.
Although Cotehele welcomes dogs in some areas, the areas that we will be visiting are not suitable for dogs.
For those with limited mobility we must stress that although there is a step free route through the garden it is bumpy and uneven and in addition there is a staircase to climb to reach The Victorian Drawing Room. If you have any queries regarding access please contact Cotehele on 01579 351346
We can park in the main carpark, with NT members scanning their cards for free parking and non-NT members buying a parking ticket.
Cost for a CGS Member is: £39
