Have you ever been lucky enough to spot a koala in the wild? These fluffy favourites are experts at hide-and-seek, but we’ll show you how to find them.
Join Ranger Stacey and the Detection Dogs for Conservation team for a guided koala-spotting walk, where you’ll learn insider tips and tricks to help you locate these elusive marsupials in your own neighbourhood.
🌿 Guided walks will depart from the Point Halloran Conservation Area carpark
📍 Orana Street, Victoria Point
📅 Date: Thursday, 16 April 2026
⏱️ Walk times: 9am, 10am and 11am
Redland City Council koala conservation officers will also be on-site to answer your questions and share simple ways we can all help protect local koalas.
What to bring:
- Enclosed walking shoes
- Sun-safe clothing and a hat
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- Water bottle
Parking: Please allow extra time to find a parking spot in nearby streets.
Notes:
- All ages are welcome. Walks run for approximately 55 minutes, and younger children may need support from a parent or guardian.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
