About this Event
Explore the home of Kate Sheppard on this special guided kids tour. Learn how she encouraged women to stand up for their right to vote in the elections and convinced the politicians to change the law. Peek into the cupboards and drawers, and look through the stereoscope. Discover fun and interesting facts in each room of the house.
Then make a white camellia badge to take home, your very own symbol of equality from 1893!
This tour is designed for children aged 8 to 12 and for parents to drop their children, then go and enjoy some time to themselves for an hour.
