Join us at Presents: Get-Hype Open-Mic hosted by Oakland raised author and poet, . Come through to this FREE EVENT at 3207 Louise Street, Oakland, CA 94608 on Friday February 20th, 2026 from 6:00-9pm for an open mic like no other. Whether you're a poet, musician, comedian, or storyteller, here is your opportunity to share your work to the world.
We will feature the RETURN of Vallejo's poet, Juni Speaks () performing a full poetry set. We will also have a Writer's Workshop before showtime. Don’t miss out on the most hype open mic around!

Juni Speaks (@juni.speaks) is a poet, host, event curator, and a proud Vallejo native, who never misses an opportunity to pay homage to the city who helped shape her worldview. She's been pushing her pen and setting the record straight for almost a decade. Having hosted several open mics throughout the bay area, she is highly sought after and making a name for herself in the poetry community. She is known as a bridge in the poetry community as she often brings other artists together and gives other artists opportunities to be seen and heard. Juni's poetry echoes sounds of truth, womanhood, femininity, love letters and hip hop.
Open Mic Guidelines:
1.Each performer is allowed to perform 1 piece (poem, song, short comedy set, etc) but 5 mins max.
2.We will have a bluetooth speaker for backing tracks but be patient with the tech.
3.Keep your content somewhat appropriate for all ages
4.Please support the cafe with a purchase (or 2).
