About this Event
A representative from Rampion Offshore Wind Farm is joining us at the Youth Employment Hub to speak with young people about real opportunities in the offshore wind industry - including their currently open Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeships, which close on 20th February.
This 3‑year programme enables motivated individuals to train as wind turbine technicians through classroom education and hands‑on experience.

Apprenticeship Candidate Requirements
Rampion/RWE are looking for applicants who:
- Are motivated and ready for a practical, hands‑on role
- Have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, English, and Science
- Have an interest in engineering and a willingness to learn and develop
- Are able to work at height and able to work at sea
- Are willing to work shifts as part of a technician team offshore
- Can commit to full‑time study for the first 2 years at IPS International in Rochester, followed by a 3rd year at Rampion Offshore Wind Farm in Newhaven for on‑site training
Who the event is for
This session is open to all young people aged 16–25, whether you're actively job‑seeking, exploring training routes, or simply curious about careers in renewable energy. No previous experience is needed, just interest and a willingness to learn!
