More about our guest: Dave Nada (a.k.a. David Villegas) is an Ecuadorian-American DJ, producer, and all-around party instigator best known for inventing moombahton — the genre-smashing blend of house and reggaeton that took dance floors worldwide by storm. Born and raised in Maryland, Dave cut his teeth in the D.C./Baltimore scene, spinning at underground parties and playing in hardcore bands before joining forces with Matt Nordstrom to form the powerhouse duo Nadastrom. His signature sound—equal parts Latin rhythm, bass, and wild creativity—helped bridge club cultures across continents. Over the years he’s dropped remixes for everyone from Skrillex to Celia Cruz, toured the globe, and kept pushing the limits of what electronic music can be. These days, he’s still mixing, creating, and championing Latin-inspired dance music through his Hermanito label and DJ sets that never fail to turn the room into a family affair.
