This comprehensive course covers essential disc brake maintenance and care, ensuring optimal performance and longevity for your braking system. Participants will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Disc Brake Pad Removal and Decontamination: Learn how to safely remove pads and decontaminate them to restore braking efficiency.
- Rotor Decontamination and Cleaning: Proper techniques for cleaning rotors to maintain smooth braking action.
- Piston Cleaning and Lubrication: Understand how to clean and lubricate pistons to ensure they move freely and evenly.
- Pad Installation: Step-by-step guidance on correctly installing new brake pads.
- Resetting Pistons: Techniques for resetting pistons after pad installation for consistent brake performance.
- Caliper Alignment: Master the process of aligning calipers to avoid brake rub and ensure even pad wear.
- Rotor Truing: Learn how to straighten a warped rotor to ensure smooth, wobble-free braking.
- Bedding-in Rotors and Pads: Best practices for bedding in new rotors and pads to maximize braking efficiency.
Additionally, the course includes a Brake Bleeding Demonstration covering both Shimano and SRAM systems, providing insight into maintaining hydraulic brake systems for consistent and reliable braking.

- This course is taught on Sunday afternoons at our main store location, it requires a minimum of two participants and a maximum of 6.
- We will cancel the course with 48 hours notice if the minimum number is not met.
