Home & Living Series – Tasmania | Session 1 of 4

Navigating NDIS Home & Living supports can feel confusing especially when it comes to understanding Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

This session is ideal for people who are new to SDA or just starting to explore NDIS Home & Living options. It is designed to break down common misconceptions, explain how SIL and SIL and SDA works, and empower people with disability and their supporters to make informed choices about housing and supports.

  • Common myths and misunderstandings (and the reality)
  • Choice and control in Home & Living decisions

About the series

This event is Session 1 of a 4-part NDIS Home & Living Series in Hobart, Tasmania.
Each session can be attended individually or as part of the full series. The next sessions will be announced soon.

SDA Living Australia

New Chapter Supports is a Tasmania-based NDIS provider offering Support Coordination, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and a range of disability support services.

They work alongside people with disability, families and carers to navigate Home & Living pathways, understand options, and build genuinely person-centred supports that reflect choice, control and individual goals.
