About this Event
The Disability Confident Workshop supports all managers to build their line management confidence when managing disabled colleagues. It helps them to become the inclusive, confident and knowledgeable people managers they need to be, as they take into account the varied needs in teams.
The Programme covers:
Understanding what Disability Confident means, why it is essential and the advantages to you of being Disability Confident.
Understanding some key legislation about disability and what support you can access to help disabled team deliver their best at work.
Building knowledge, contacts and confidence to support disabled team members effectively and help make your team a brilliant place to work for disabled people.
The session is delivered by Ian Rose - a medal winning Paralympian!

Workshops will be delivered virtually via MS Teams. Joining instructions will be sent to attendees in advance of the scheduled date.
The cost of this training course is funded from the central DLUHC L&D budget. Each place on this course costs the department £76. We are unable to offer spaces to other colleagues after late cancellations, therefore non-attendance is a cost to the department and takes the opportunity from other colleagues. Therefore if you register for this event, we would appreciate if can prioritise this learning.
