About this Event

ENGLISH

A public event dedicated to LGBTQIA+ rights of Italians living in Italy and abroad. The initiative stems from the collective work of the PD Manchester Civil Rights Group, in dialogue with PD Mondo (world) circles, LGBTQIA+ organisations, local administrators, and activists.

The event aims to develop a political and operational platform connecting international experiences, best practices, and legislative proposals to strengthen equality and inclusion. The final version of the platform will gather analyses, examples, and operational proposals for a more inclusive, European/global policy on LGBTQIA+ rights for the Democratic Party, within and beyond national borders.

Dual goal

  1. To reflect on local and international experiences in the field of equality and inclusion policies, with the aim of developing and improving the platform and conditions of the Italian LGBTQIA+ community abroad, and creating a bridge between international experiences and Italian realities.
  2. To develop concrete tools and create a handbook of best practices for local administrations and communities to protect and strengthen the acquired rights of Italian LGBTQIA+ people abroad, while also building a bridge between international experiences and Italian realities.
