DIRECTING FOR FILM WITH GLENN LEYBURN AND LISA BARROS D'SA - Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa have cemented their status as Northern Ireland’s most vital contemporary filmmakers. After Lisa studied screenwriting and Glenn designed iconic album covers, the duo co-founded Canderblinks Film & Music. They debuted with Cherrybomb (2009) before achieving major acclaim with Good Vibrations (2012), a punk-scene biopic ranked among the best Irish films ever made.In 2019, they directed the IFTA-winning Ordinary Love, starring Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville, further showcasing their ability to balance heavy themes with heartfelt performances. Their latest hit, Saipan, dramatises the infamous 2002 World Cup clash between Roy Keane (Éanna Hardwicke) and Mick McCarthy (Steve Coogan). By tackling diverse narratives with consistent critical success, Glenn and Lisa continue to redefine Irish cinema on the global stage.
