Direct Examination Trial Skills Simulation Program
About this Event

This program will offer hands-on experience to the participants in direct examination. This program is being offered via Zoom on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be a lunch break from noon to 1:00 pm.

Audio and video capability are required for this training, and participants will be expected to be on video at all times during the training. The use of a laptop or desktop computer is highly recommended. CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete both Zoom sessions.

Participants will earn 6 hours of CLE credit for participation in the program, and the program will apply toward the skills training requirements of Standard 1. Again, CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete the entire program.

To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan. Interns working in public defender offices awaiting bar results are also eligible. You must plan to participate in the entire program.

This program is limited to 12 participants. A waitlist will be compiled once the program is full.
