About this Event
Mark your calendars and register for this FREE event! The Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH) is bringing fossils and dino exhibits to the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd, on June 26. They will park their Mobile Museum across from our front door. Don’t miss learning all about Idaho’s fossils and what roamed the earth millions of years ago! The event has an ASL Interpreter.
Funded by a grant from the David B. Jones Foundation.
The IMNH is proud to be a recipient of this amazing opportunity and welcomes the Old Penitentiary Historic District visitors to come and enjoy this exciting educational experience with us.
Housed in a specially outfitted van to portray a traveling extension of the IMNH in Pocatello, the Mobile Museum consists of a walk-through exhibit that makes science come to life. Visitors will get the opportunity to see original and exact replicas of Idaho natural history objects straight from their collections. Included are a full Idaho dinosaur skeleton, nests, skulls and interactive displays with hands-on activities with mobile educator Pam Pascali.
