Create your own miniature dinosaur world with this fun class just for kids! This workshop includes all materials needed to build a tropical terrarium complete with dinosaur figures to bring home with them. Kids will learn about how terrariums work, how to create an enclosed ecosystem, how to care for their tropical plant and more! This special learning experience is best suited to kids ages 5-12.Meet your instructor, Ellie!
Ellie joined our team in August 2022 as our Educator and Volunteer Coordinator. After growing up nearby in Akron, NY, Ellie went on to continue her education at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Education and Interpretation. After graduating in the midst of the pandemic, she traveled and found a passion for educating people about environmental science and community outreach in Syracuse and Colorado before moving to the city of Buffalo. Ellie has a passion for all aspects of the natural world, with special interests in prehistoric plants, birds of prey, and mycology. She has recently completed her Masters of Education in Science Communication at the University at Buffalo and enjoys cooking, traveling, kayaking, hiking, and hanging out with her cats and tortoise in her free time!
