Low-cost, five-course fine dining will be offered to the public on Friday nights starting Sept. 27 when the culinary arts program resumes restaurant nights for the fall semester. Dinner at Julia — named in honor of Julia Child — gives students hands-on experience under the supervision of their instructors. Menus feature soup, appetizer, salad, entree, dessert, and coffee.
The Sept. 27 opening night features a single 6 p.m. seating and pairs courses with cider products from Rootstock.
Subsequent restaurant nights will feature two menus with seatings at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Guests with dietary restrictions or food allergies can be accommodated with advance notice.
Dinners cost $40, including tax, tip, food, and supplies for the program. Dinners are served in Stage 14 on the second floor of the Student Center. Student-made wine is available for purchase.
