Who Are Muslimah Sports Association?
The is a UK‑based, women‑led organisation dedicated to empowering Muslim women and girls through sport and physical activity. Founded to address the lack of culturally sensitive and faith‑appropriate sporting opportunities, MSA creates safe, inclusive, and female‑only environments where women can participate confidently and without barriers.
MSA offers a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, netball, badminton, and fitness programmes, all delivered with an understanding of cultural needs such as modest kit, privacy, and female coaching staff. Beyond sport, the organisation plays a wider community role by building confidence, leadership skills, and social connection among participants.
The charity is recognised nationally for its work in increasing diversity in sport, challenging stereotypes, and advocating for better representation of Muslim women in mainstream sporting spaces. Through partnerships with local councils, national governing bodies, and community groups, MSA continues to expand opportunities and champion equality in sport.
