Welcome to Dine with a Scientist
The American Association of University Women - Fremont Branch (AAUW) and Irvington High School Girls in Stem Club invite high school students from Fremont, Newark, and Union City to join us at the Fremont Downtown Event Center for a unique opportunity to have dinner with a scientist. Get ready to ask all your burning questions about science, research, and everything in between. This in-person event will give you a chance to connect with experts in a casual setting.
A little bit of history about DWAS
Since 2014, Irvington High School has organized an annual Dine With a Scientist event. Proceeds from the program benefit AAUW local scholarships for Ohlone students as well as the IHS Girls in Stem Club. This program is a great opportunity for high school students to get exposed to and interact with working scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. Attending scientists have always had great experiences with this outreach program.
