About this Event
Join Chefs Selina and K Máté, owners of Peculiar Coffee Co., in the Maker Kitchen to learn how to make homemade coffee (or cocktail/mocktail!) syrups and sauces. You’ll take 2-16oz jars of syrup home from class, including a jar of Peculiar’s famous house-made banana bread sauce, and they’ll have one of their espresso carts at the workshop to enjoy a nightcap together at the end of class.
Peculiar Coffee Co. joined ANC’s Incubator Kitchens program in the spring of 2025; you’ve probably seen their mobile espresso carts at our Wednesday Allen Farmers Market or at events around town! To Selina and K, coffee is a way to connect, slow down, and share joy with others. Coffee is what wakes them up and community is what keeps them going!
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for working in the kitchen. Hair that is shoulder-length or longer needs to be tied back.
Parking is available in the lot on the east side of the center, as well as on the surrounding streets, Kalamazoo, Allen and Shepard.
If you have any questions about the class or would like to inquire about dietary accommodations, contact Abie Kopacz at [email protected] before purchasing your tickets.
