Hello everyone!! Who's ready to plant more trees? This is possibly the last phase of our tree planting, and this year instead of fruit trees we will likely be planting shade and wind block trees to help protect the outdoor classrooms. We have confirmed with Amy May that the start time will be 1pm! Anyone willing to show up early is fantastic, as we will likely still be starting at 11am with irrigation and clearing.
PLEASE be warned- if there is a lull from hearing from me, please don't panic. This day is set in stone with Salt Lake Parks and Rec.. I will just be getting rotator cuff surgery Jan 7th and I'll likely not be updating things for a bit. But don't panic and, if you have questions, reach out to the Dimple Dell Preservation Community.
Finally, if the weather cooperates with us this year, the wonderful local artist Emjay Hink has kindly agreed to host a little concert for us after our planting, to celebrate Earth Day and all our hard work. Ideally Emjay will begin performing around 2pm, but again we will not have for sure times until end of Jan.
