We’ll rendezvous at Boxing Bear on Tramway at 5am (with doughnut breakfast), depart for trailheads by 5:30. Northbound hikers will drive south to Canyon Estates trailhead. Southbound hikers will drive to Tunnel Spring trailhead. Both teams will hike uphill and exchange keys upon at the tramway station for lunch. Then it’s (mostly!) all downhill to the other parties’ cars to return back to Boxing Bear. Takes about 13 hours overall, be prepared for anything.
Each hiker should carry the following:
Headlamp juuuuuust in case
WATER, 2L minimum recommended
Henway
Electrolyte supplements of your choice
Snacks
Sunscreen
Fully charged phone
Sun protective clothing
Highly recommend a change of clothes and shoes (plus more drinks and snacks) to leave in the other party’s car for your comfort upon completion.
I think I invited everyone who expressed interest, feel free to invite more. If anyone wants to join and drop halfway at the tram, or join at tram and come down, that’s all right but they will need to coordinate their own transportation.
