Born from the late legend Aaron Tokona's AHoriBuzz, Dillastrate features musical heavyweights Henare 'H' Kaa (lead vocals/drums) and Tim Driver (keyboard/bass synth/loops/vocals) going head-to-head to produce deeply memorable, high-energy live performances.
Dillastrate has frequently featured on national TV, and commercial, iwi and alternative radio alike, seeing the group's music charting in the New Zealand Top 20 four times. In addition, the group have gained traction in their quest to uplift te ao Māori, which has seen their waiata ‘Ko Tātou Te Ahi’ (produced in collaboration with Tiki Taane) selected as the theme for New Zealand Cricket worldwide, in close collaboration with TVNZ, and has again had them featured on national TV and radio with their bilingual hit ‘Party In My Head’ (Tāwara Ana) and their Waiata Anthems releases of ‘Ko Tātou Te Ahi’ and ‘Taku Aroha’.
