How to age your brain well and stay young
About this Event

Acts of kindness it seems can boost your mental health, relationships and immune system. And learning something new can help your brain develope new neural pathways, embrace challenges and age better. Jibunnessa Abdullah will discuss her life from monsoon mud house to modern metropolis, and how that’s helped her engage with an ever-changing world and age well. We will also learn new skills together to promote neuroplasticity.Nathan Phillips will discuss the relationship between muscle building (especially in later life) and aging.

Jibunnessa Abdullah (founder & director, Digital Museum) is a presenter and senior digital learning expert with a background in archaeology, and expertise in video, animation, graphics and coding. Clients have included the BBC, the Met Police, and a variety of university, community and corporate agencies.She has also worked on archaeological and palaeontological fieldwork and survey projects in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. Her aim with Digital Museum is to bring some of the finest experts in archaeology, history, anthropology, linguistics, palaeontology, geology and philosophy, along with writers, filmmakers, journalists, artists, and public decision-makers, from around the globe together online to create a scholarly space for intelligent talks and conversations accessible to all.

Nathan Phillips is director of Vitality Mastery, fitness coach, and PhD researcher studying the effects of krill on muscle building and aging.
