Location: 1433 Rose St
Join us for a day of insightful discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities focused on promoting dignified aging in our community. Learn from experts in the field, share your experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about improving the quality of life for older adults. Don't miss this chance to be a part of the conversation and make a difference!
This year’s featured presenter, Poiab Vue, LICSW, brings a trauma-informed, systems-level perspective to a topic many professionals experience but rarely have space to name: how unexamined power and unresolved leadership wounds shape organizational culture, staff wellbeing, and care outcomes. Drawing from years of clinical and organizational experience, Poiab moves the conversation beyond individual blame to examine leadership patterns that influence burnout, accountability, and ethical decision-making within care systems.
In Wounded Leadership and Organizational Harm: How Unexamined Power Impacts Care Systems, participants will gain insight into how leadership dynamics affect teams, systems, and the people served—while engaging in thoughtful reflection designed to support awareness, responsibility, and sustainable, dignified care practices. The themes explored are relevant across the full spectrum of senior care services—wherever leadership decisions and care environments shape the daily experience, dignity, and wellbeing of older adults and their families.
If you care about the health of your organization, your colleagues, and the quality of care delivered within your system, this summit offers an important opportunity to pause, reflect, and learn together.
