Create Stunning Stripy Background Blocks — Quilted in the Hoop
Learn how to place and sew a simple stripy background to perfectly support an appliqué or embroidered design. In this inspiring, hands-on workshop, you’ll create a beautiful background using complementary pieced fabrics — all stitched in the hoop and quilted as you go.
You’ll then choose your creative direction:
A pieced patchwork block
A pieced and appliquéd block
A pieced block featuring a design from your embroidery machine’s built-in collection
Kathleen will be on hand throughout the day to guide and support you, helping you make design choices with confidence so you leave not only with finished blocks, but with the knowledge to turn them into a project of your choice.
Workshop Features:
Blocks designed for small 100 x 100 hoops
Larger design options for 240 x 150 hoops
