About this Event
A hackathon is a competition event where teams work, hands-on, around the clock, to ideate, prototype and present a solution to the proposed challenge. Although hackathons are focused most of the time on software or hardware development, in the last few years hackathons have also been organised to solve different business challenges.
The Digital Transformation hackathon aims to bring together students to solve a challenge within 24 hours! The challenges will be presented together with our sponsor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Friday 11 November at 16.00 and then teams will be formed. Students from all universities are invited! At the end of the Hackathon teams will present their solutions to a group of judges. The five criteria are: novelty, feasibility, scalability, pitch, overall creativity.
During the Hackathon, participants will co-develop prototypes applying different techniques. They will also obtain feedback from experts to iterate and pitch their proposed solutions. Prototyping material will be provided during the event. Teams will present their solutions to the judges on Saturday 12 November at 16.30.
There will be cash prizes for the three winning teams as follows:
a. 3000 GBP – 1st prize
b. 1,000 GBP – 2nd prize
c. 500 GBP – 3rd prize
Agenda:
