Graphic Design Camp for Ages 10–15
Ready to turn creativity into real design skills? At Create Appalachia’s Digital Summer Camp, students will explore the basics of graphic design through fun, hands-on projects—no experience needed.
Students will explore:
- Creating logos, banners, and flyers
- How to choose colors that pop
- How to mix and match fonts
- How to design clean, balanced layouts
- How to turn ideas into finished designs
- See how design elements are applied in business with a design tour of downtown Kingsport.
Each participant leaves with original graphics they can be proud of. Our course is beginner-friendly and designed to build real-world creative skills.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Davin Brown is the founder of Untetherd Media based in Kingsport, Tennessee. Specializing in digital marketing and design consulting, Davin's company stands out for its expertise in business marketing software stacks and automation. A graduate of Platt College in San Diego, California with a degree in Digital Media, Davin's journey into entrepreneurship was preceded by 13 years of honorable service in the US Navy.His military tenure, highlighted by specialized training at the Information Warfare Training Command in Virginia Beach, Virginia, equipped him with invaluable skills in Operational Intelligence Analysis. His career with the Navy includes five combat deployments and four Fleet/Flag level operational positions in support of Iraqi and Afghanistan war efforts. Committed to making a difference beyond the military, Davin serves as the chairman and Director of Create Appalachia. Additionally, he actively participates in Leadership Kingsport, the Young Professionals’ PEAK organization, and engages in volunteer work across the community, embodying a spirit of service and leadership
