Architects often produce their finest work when confronted with the challenge of designing for a difficult site.
Difficult Sites: Architecture Against the Odds explores remarkable feats of architectural achievement from the 1900s to today, delving into over twenty complex, unusual, and dynamic builds across the UK. Inspired by RIBA's latest exhibition, this walking tour will explore tricky terrain, awkward urban plot and challenging remodels.
Anthony Palmer is a photography tutor working with adult education and community groups and an educator leading architecture tours and photo walks exploring London. Interested in urbanism, he completed the MA in Photography and Urban Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2013 and his research interests continue to include the role of the image in architecture, urban regeneration and housing. As a photographer, Anthony is a contributor to the RIBA online collections database, RIBApix.
