We are thrilled to announce the return of DJ Audio Flesh and her first appearance at Dies In The Light is DJ PINK HEARTBRAKE

AudioFlesh is an up-and-coming electronic music producer with a veteran DJ career, spanning 20 years and counting. The Hawaiian-born, Ohio-based “Cyber Samoan” has carved out a reputation as one of the most sought-after underground club DJs in the Midwest; a reputation that would get him an invitation to platform his dark EBM sets, surprisingly, at various EDM festivals

AudioFlesh’s eclectic, genre-blended sets provide well-calculated ebb and flow, often showcasing music ranging from dark arpeggiated EBM and techno grooves to epic synthwave soundscapes; from post-punk vibes and 80s remixes to dark, pulsating EDM bass lines, complemented by orchestral flourishes and acid breaks. These sets would eventually catch the attention of industrial music label, Glitch Mode Recordings (Chicago, IL), which would help him release and distribute the singles “Hail 2 The King” and “Tribal Technology.”

A fixture of Midwestern counter-culture, Columbus, OH native Pink Heartbrake has been a highly respected and in-demand act for 20 years. Her experience as a touring bassist, session musician, and vocalist has lent credibility to her expertly curated and crafted sets, which showcase an array of musical influences ranging from techno-body-music to synthy soundscapes, from brooding darkwave to the heft of industrial bass, and everywhere in between.

Pink Heartbrake’s reputation in the city and across the state would garner the attention and invitation to perform sets across the United States. Most recently, she would represent Columbus and DJ collective The Ination on the national stage for NoWhere2Run’s Bloodrave tour, which has featured a who’s who of underground artists, including Rita of Pixel Grip, Picture Plane, and 3TEETH’s Xavier Swafford, to name a few.

DJ NOCTURNA is a veteran events promoter, club DJ, and radio broadcaster with over two decades of experience shaping the dark alternative scene. She currently hosts the Queen of Wands radio show on Modsnap Radio and was formerly the voice behind A Feast of Friends on KTUH 90.1 FM. As the founder of DIES IN THE NIGHT, she continues to explore the mystical intersection of music, astrology, and financial market cycles through her YouTube channel and podcast, CHARTING THE HIGHER OCTAVE.

A true curator of dark art and culture, DJ Nocturna launched DARK ALOHA early this year, a Honolulu-based zine dedicated to the darker arts, music, and the cultural scenes. DJ Nocturna is one of the promoters and DJs behind the wildly successful dance event/ 80s night, ACID WASH, which has captivated audiences for nearly 20 years.

DJ DAT-MOT has been a staple of the dark music scene since the late ’80s, known for his DJ sets blending goth, industrial, and dark ’80s. A pioneer of Honolulu’s underground nightlife, he founded NOCTUARY, a long-running dark alternative event held for several years at the legendary Pink Cadillac in Waikīkī. His influence continues today as a resident DJ at DIES IN THE LIGHT, where he spins monthly to a devoted crowd. Since the pandemic, he’s also kept the dark spirit alive online through his ongoing virtual project, CRYPTIC.
