We're honored to co-host the one week debut theatrical of Die Like A Man, the new independent feature film from filmmaker Eric Nazarian (Three Christs, The Blue Hour). A movie made by, about, and burning with the passion of Los Angeles and Los Angelinos.

A coming of age thriller set in a working-class Westside L.A. neighborhood, Freddy is gifted a gun on his 17th birthday and ordered to K*ll his mentor Solo's old rival Boxer. Die Like a Man is a rite of passage film about the codes of masculinity, machismo, and alpha dog culture that has perpetuated gun violence and inner city warfare around the world. At heart, it deals with the destructive power of internalized rage and the humanity of people who are trapped in it, trying their best to reach the possibility of self-forgiveness. Will Freddy K*ll or "die like a man" with a gun in his hand?

Filmmaker Nazarian is especially suited to tell this tale as it is born out of his own experience and youth trying to survive the streets of Los Angeles as an Armenian immigrant in a tough neighborhood during a volatile period in the ’90s.

This is exactly the kind of movie that showcases independent American cinema's unbreakable spirit. Nazarian and his team shot the movie in 13 days in 115 locations in and around Los Angeles. Nazarian fought everything from the Covid pandemic to all the trials and tribulations of getting a movie made. And he got it made. And we're honored to partner for its world premiere in the Million Dollar Theater, one of Los Angeles's very first movie palaces. What better place to showcase a homegrown LA filmmaker making a personal vital story about LA issues than in an OG LA movie palace?

Join us for an incredible movie followed often by after-screening Q&As with cast & crew about how they got the movie made and to take your questions on what it takes in the current environment to see a feature to completion. Then stay for the after-party to mix and mingle with the moviemakers!

All this ahead of the movie's VOD premiere on Friday, April 25, 2025. You can pre-order the movie here:

authenticity and urgent tales of the streets.

If you're a native Los Angelino, if you're a moviemaker, if you're a movielover, this is exactly what the next chapter of cinema is about. Join us!
