Welcome to scenic reading of Dickhäuter (Sthulacharma) by Tina Müller and translated in Bangla by Partha Chatterjee. This project is Part of the project “German contemporary plays in South Asian Languages”.About the play:
“Dickhäuter”by Tina Müller is about Lou, a rhinoceros who joins class 2b and struggles to fit in. Lou is teased and excluded by the other children and their parents, who see Lou as abnormal and potentially dangerous. The play explores themes of bullying and exclusion, showing how these mechanisms work and ultimately revealing that everyone is unique and that “normal” doesn’t exist. The story unfolds through various perspectives and alternative storylines, highlighting the individuality of each character.
