This training focuses on understanding the nuances inherent in diagnosing ADHD and similar neurocognitive disorders. Trainees will be introduced to neurocognitive disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Attendees will understand the unique presentations of disorders with a special focus on ADHD. This training will focus on evidenced based intervention strategies for working with ADHD.
Training Objectives:
- Define the key characteristics and diagnostic criteria associated with ADHD and Neurocognitive disorders.
- Understand the impact of ADHD and Neurocognitive disorders on cognitive functions and daily life activities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of assessment methods and interventions commonly used in the management of ADHD and Neurocognitive disorders.
- Evaluate the potential challenges and stigmas individuals with ADHD and other Neurocognitive disorders may face, considering societal perspectives and implications for support and inclusion.
