Join us for a Special Dia de Los Muertos themed Mayan Cacao Ceremony & Soundbath.
This special ceremony, inspired by the traditions of Maryzelle’s Salvadoran heritage , invites us to reflect on the power of the heart, tap into the spirit realm, and embrace the wisdom that lives within us.
In Mayan culture , cacao has long been considered a sacred plant medicine and used to connect with the heart, activate inner wisdom, and open channels to the spirit realm. Maryzelle’s ancestors believed that through cacao, we could access the spirit world and deepen our connection to ourselves and others. During Día de los Muertos , we reflect on the cycles of life and death, honoring the love and memories passed down through generations, and celebrating the continuation of life beyond physical existence.
As we indulge in Ceremonial-Grade Mayan Cacao , we invite its powerful properties to work on our hearts and bodies. Scientifically, Xacao is known for being the most antioxidant-rich superfood, containing theobromine , which helps to increase blood flow, boost mood, and enhance focus. It also calms the nervous system, grounding us in the present moment. In Mayan traditions, Cacao is revered as a “heart-opener,” allowing us to step into deeper emotional clarity and connection, both with ourselves and with the energies around us. The name Theobroma —meaning "food of the gods"—speaks to its divine status across many cultures, inviting us to experience its sacred power.
After the Cacao Ceremony, we will enter a deeply meditative space through a healing soundbath . The sound frequencies of Crystal Bowls, Gongs, Tibetan bowls, Chimes , and other Ancestral Instruments will wash over you, helping to balance your chakras, soothe your energetic body, and bring deep relaxation. These sound vibrations work on both the physical and emotional planes, helping to release stress and tension while supporting clarity and inner reflection. As you relax into the Soundbath, the vibrations will help realign your energy, creating space for healing and transformation.
This special Día de los Muertos ceremony is a time to reflect on our connection to life, death, and the generations that came before us. Through cacao medicine and sound healing , we honor the cycles of existence and embrace the love, wisdom, and memories that shape who we are. You will leave feeling grounded, heart-opened, and in deep alignment with yourself and the energy of this special time of year.
