গোয়ালপাড়া ধর্মরাজ পুজো বীরভূম জেলার বোলপুরের গোয়ালপাড়া গ্রামে অনুষ্ঠিত একটি প্রাচীন ও ঐতিহ্যবাহী লোকউৎসব। এই পুজোটি ধর্মরাজ বা ধর্মঠাকুরের উদ্দেশ্যে পালিত হয়, যিনি গ্রামের রক্ষাকর্তা দেবতা হিসেবে পূজিত হন এবং ভক্তদের মঙ্গল ও সমৃদ্ধি প্রদান করেন।
প্রতি বছর বাংলা পঞ্জিকা অনুযায়ী দোল পূর্ণিমার পরবর্তী পূর্ণিমা তিথিতে এই পুজো অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই সময় হাজার হাজার ভক্ত, গ্রামবাসী এবং দর্শনার্থীরা একত্রিত হয়ে পুজো ও উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
গোয়ালপাড়া ধর্মরাজ পুজোর অন্যতম প্রধান আকর্ষণ হলো ঢাক ও ঢোলের বিশাল সমাবেশ। প্রতি বছর প্রায় ৫০০ থেকে ১০০০ জন ঢাকি ও ঢোলবাদক এখানে এসে একসঙ্গে বাদ্য পরিবেশন করেন, যা উৎসবের পরিবেশকে অত্যন্ত প্রাণবন্ত ও ঐতিহ্যময় করে তোলে।
Goalpara Dharmaraj Puja is a historic and culturally significant folk festival celebrated in Goalpara village, Bolpur, Birbhum (West Bengal). The festival is dedicated to Lord Dharmaraj (Dharmathakur), the revered village deity believed to protect the community and bless devotees with prosperity and well-being.
This sacred festival is observed every year on the next Purnima Tithi after Dol Purnima, according to the Bengali calendar. On this special occasion, thousands of devotees, villagers, and visitors gather to take part in the traditional rituals and celebrations.
One of the most remarkable attractions of Goalpara Dharmaraj Puja is the grand gathering of traditional dhak and dhol performers. Every year, around 500 to 1000 dhakis and dhol players come together to perform, creating an electrifying and powerful atmosphere that reflects the rich cultural heritage of rural Bengal.
The celebration also includes traditional rituals, vibrant processions, and a lively village fair (mela), making it a unique blend of devotion, culture, and community bonding. For generations, Goalpara Dharmaraj Puja has remained a proud symbol of faith, tradition, and unity for the people of Birbhum.
