About this Event
“Poetic Practice as Devotion” is a 2 hour generative writing workshop co-facilitated by Tori Rego and Madeline Blair, editor/founder of Sabr tooth tiger magazine.
In this workshop we explore poetry as a devotional art, whether the focus of devotion is an object, idea, place, or figure. We will discuss themes of adoration and divine insight from a spiritually inclusive perspective. The workshop will draw on poetic works from Sabr Tooth and elsewhere to guide writers through a series of generative writing prompts. If you are seeking to find beauty in the mundane, looking to add fresh perspective to your practice in the dark time of the year, or simply seeking to infuse your work with a deeper sense of love, this workshop is for you.
