About this Event
We invite you to join us for an upcoming Development Opportunity Information Session for the 5401 S. Crenshaw Boulevard site, a project led by the Los Angeles Black Worker Center (LABWC) in partnership with Estolano Advisors (EA) and Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas’ Office (SD 28). Through a community-driven visioning process, LABWC and project partners have been working closely with a Community Working Group to shape a set of preliminary recommendations for the site.
This convening will bring together mission-aligned developers, affordable housing practitioners, community land trusts, and community development partners to learn more about the opportunity to redevelop this State-owned site in South Los Angeles.
This session is designed to:
- Provide background on the site, surrounding context, and work completed to date
- Share preliminary community priorities and development considerations
- Offer an overview of the State surplus land disposition process under SB 572
- Create space for questions and early engagement from interested partners
