Developing individual curriculum plans

Some students within Australian classrooms require curriculum at a level different to their chronological age/year level. ACARA’s CASE Model for Personalised Learning provides teachers with a practical approach for developing individual curriculum plans. This is achieved by: (1) deconstructing the chronological age/year level Content Descriptions; (2) identifying the student’s strengths and functional impacts and associated targeted pedagogical strategies; (3) identifying the targeted Achievement Standard(s) within the Australian Curriculum (different to chronological age/year level), and (4) applying everything to the Explicit Instruction Model. During the workshop participants will explore how to practically implement the CASE Model to develop individual curriculum plans.
