Finding Peace Within
About this Event
Start the new year with a peaceful heart and positive intentions.
Buddhist meditation is a practice open to everyone and can help you find inner calm, develop a positive perspective, and build resilience in everyday life.
In these classes, you will learn how to develop a meditation habit through guided meditations and simple, practical instructions. Each class also includes a short talk on how Buddhist philosophy can be applied to help us stay positive when facing everyday challenges.
Each session includes two guided meditations and a practical talk on a weekly topic, followed by time for Q&A. All classes are self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required.
You do not need to bring anything with you, and the meditation is conducted on chairs (though you are welcome to bring a cushion if you prefer).
Gen Kelsang Chodor is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. He has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over twenty-two years. Known for his warm presentations and authentic teachings, he is also appreciated for his natural joy and sense of humour.
